IBS
Many physical and chronic conditions exist because they think they have a purpose in our lives. A role to fulfil, even though we aren’t consciously aware of why they need to be there. IBS and other digestive disorders are often as a result of the subconscious beliefs we’ve attached to a stress response, trigger or event that then lingers way beyond its initial subconscious invitation.
Through hypnotherapy, not only can we address the job the IBS thinks it needs to do for us, we can also equip ourselves with coping mechanisms that means when triggers do occur in life, our gut-brain connection and digestive sensitivity is dialed down enough to considerably reduce any flare ups or even prevent them entirely.
Our mind has a profound ability to influence our body and I have experienced this first-hand through my own RTT sessions. Understanding when and why I developed a belief associated with my digestive issues allowed me to let it go. Through visualisation techniques and understanding the gut-brain connection, I was able to allow myself to believe I could be free from IBS forever. This realisation was profound and changed my life.
